About the escape room
You know that the girls' orphanage that used to be located here has been empty for years. You know that there's nobody here anymore, yet you still feel the shudders going down your spine as you push open the old oak door. The cobwebs along the yellowed walls are proof that no one has entered here for a long time, yet occasionally it feels like you hear something. A girl's voice somewhere far off. The floor creaks under your feet with every step as if it wants to say: 'Get out of here'. All of a sudden, the radio turns on... The Orphanage is a blood-curdling adventure set in the old girls' orphanage that has always been located in this building. But have the souls of the orphan girls left? Or have they always remained in the building, waiting for someone to come and play with them? As you slowly find your way in the old, dark orphanage and unlock more and more rooms of the building, you get to know the world where the orphan girls spent their days. Everything is still in perfect condition, only a thick layer of dust reveals that no one has been here for a long time. Why was this orphanage actually abandoned? What happened to the girls? All their belongings are still there, as if they didn't even have time to pack. Through the puzzles that turn out to be hidden everywhere, you discover what happened in this place years ago and you head towards a horrifying climax. Do you dare?

AI Overview

AIVisitors praise the massive set, sublime music/sound, and a consistently spooky vibe. The puzzles feel fair and thematic, with a story that becomes clearer step by step and already starts with the email. The room is big, keeps the pace nicely, and is cited as the toughest of DarkParks open rooms. Teams of 3–4 or with at least a couple of experienced players perform best.
WeaknessesNot everyone found it innovative or ‘mind-blowing’; it’s mostly very well executed. With two players the scale can be a bit overwhelming, and the low light sometimes calls for extra support. Don’t expect a wow puzzle every minute; the strength lies in the overall package.
StrengthsSet design, storytelling, and sound design mesh seamlessly and elevate the experience. The tension is well-dosed, with mainly psychological pressure and a few well-placed jump scares. The onboarding and email prelude immediately set the right tone.
SecurityBriefing is clear, and you can, if needed, take a small electronic candle without spoiling anything. The crew keeps a close watch, making it feel scary but safe.
Level of fearTension level mid-high with a few jump scares, but nothing that bombards you constantly. Probably too intense for young children; generally manageable for non-horror fans.
Actors' gameLittle is reported about live acting; interaction comes mainly via sound, set, and tight directing. The host sets a strong mood outside the room and guides where needed.
Quality of riddlesPuzzles are varied, logical, and thematically woven into the spaces, including some team tasks. They are fair and readable, though experience helps to keep up the pace. Some elements can be adjusted to group size.
PlotYou discover step by step what happened in the orphanage as you open more rooms and find details. The build-up leads to a chilling denouement without cheap tricks.
Difficulty levelAbove-average difficulty; cited as the toughest of DarkParks open rooms with around 58% success. Ideal with 3–4 or with at least two experienced players; with 2 it’s possible, but expect a brisk pace.
